I love movies (dramas, decent, non-trashy comedies, book-based, etc.), music (gothic rock, alternative, classical, opera, pop, dance, etc.), talking, singing, writing, romance, Korean dramas, Asia, Europe, exotic places, solving problems, good actresses, good singers, interesting people, humor, nice people, justice, and idolizing worthy women.

I DON’T love haters, people who have a negative outlook on the world, people who assume things, Mary-sues, bad grammar, people who tattle, people who boast, people who can’t accept the opinions of others, people who discriminate, people who murder, people who rape, people who abuse, etc.

Anti-communitites SUCK.

In accordance with that, I thought I'd like to say some things concerning Phantom of the Opera, Emmy Rossum, Gerard Butler, and the like.
I. I love the PotO movie.
1. This does not make me a n00b/phanbrat/moron/idiot/anything else the stuck-up movie-haters love to label movie-lovers as.
a. This is because: i. I have read the original novel
ii. I have read the Susan Kay novel
iii. I have listened to soundtracks other than that of the movie's.
BTW: I hated the original novel and I am not afraid to say it. I just couldn't stand the characters...even the Phantom got on my nerves, which is a first. I thought Erik was too whiny...and just plain creepy at times, Christine was a two-timing whore, and Raoul was even more annoying and boring than I thought possible.
2. Just because Gaston Leroux created the fandom does not mean that his version is the only good one. This is determined by one's opinions.
3. ALW was part of the movie-making experience, so doncha think he would've stopped Joel if he saw his musical was being "butchered"?
a. his being shy would not have stopped him. Saving musical > saving face
II. I think Emmy Rossum and Gerard Butler did a great job in the movie.
1. I am aware that not everyone agrees with me, and I do not care.
2. Liking these two does not make me musically retarded. It's based on opinion, not musical proficiency.
3. ALW would not have chosen these two (and yes, he chose them himself. JS did not "push him" into making any decision, so please don't believe or spread around that bs) if he did not think they could protray the characters well. End. Of. Story.
4. If you hate them for the sole reason that Michael and Sarah were not chosen instead: please, get real.
a. Michael and Sarah were TOO OLD for the roles. Even if Christine were 20-something and Erik were 50-something as in the original novel, they still don't cut it. Blaming Emmy and Gerry for this is complete bs on your part.
III. Please get off your f**king high horse. Just because you were a musical fan long before you saw the movie does not give you any kind of right to bash movie fans.
1. If you are on a high horse as described, do you love the movie V for Vendetta? Are you a comic fan? No? I thought not. Well, consider how you'd feel if someone called you a n00b or a moron for this reason, when you are probably ignorant to the fact that the comic book is not really like the movie very much, and the author of it was so displeased with it that he took his name out of the credits?
IV. Please treat all versions of the story as SEPARATE versions.
1. I personally could not care less how unlike the originial book the movie is, since I hated the book. It was not intended to be completely similar to the book, so don't bash it as if it were.
2. The 2004 movie is not the worst fandom-abuse out there, trust me. Research Argento's version. Now THAT is something to cry about. the 2004 movie is a masterpiece compared to that dribble.
V. Just to reiterate: Get off you f**king high horse. Loving the original book and hating the movie does not make you better than ANYONE.
